House System
Northridge House System
Purpose
The purpose of the Northridge House System is to promote a positive and welcoming environment in which students, staff and community members feel a strong sense of belonging. This supports the Northridge Mission of valuing every student and empowering student leaders.
House System Benefits
- Being a part of a smaller community helps students acclimate quickly to their school environment and experience and immediate sense of belonging
- Students have a set of staff mentors they can go to
- Students have an opportunity to interact with students from all grades
- Increases opportunities for student leadership
- Reinforces our campus essentials and behavior expectations
- A source of positive peer-pressure and motivation that can have a positive effect in the classroom
- At weekly meetings and rallies, students will have opportunities to enjoy creative expression, physical activity and social engagement
Point System
- 1-5 Points may be given at a time
- Teacher and Staff’s discretion on what and how many points to award (academic, behavior, growth, manners, supporting each other…)
- Points are always positive - can NOT be taken away
- Can be given on and out of classroom to all students

Lunch with a Loved One is back for the 2023-2024 school year!
This year, we are excited to bring back Lunch with a Loved One once per Trimester:
October 10th, February 12th & May 6th
Durbrow, Schmeck, Bennett & Sutch 12:00-12:20 Eat; 12:20-12:40 Recess
Mendez, Hastie, Weersing & Brown 12:00-12:20 Recess; 12:20-12:40 Eat
Floyd, Webb, Naranjo & Hanna/Pierce 12:50-1:10 Eat; 1:10-1:30 Recess
Corrigan, Enriquez & Roe 12:50-1:10 Recess; 1:10-1:30 Eat
